About Benji
Love and Energy comes in small packages!
Meet Benji, a fun-loving pup full of energy and snuggles
Benji is a 11-month-old Maltese
Benji can be described pretty easily with the following words - Energizer bunny who loves to go for a walk or have a play with other furkids or skin kids!
Benji is a super happy little boy who loves humans (all sizes but can be a bit energetic for young kids sometimes) and loves other furkids, cats and even chickens!!! Yep, the full tick on everyone!
Benji is a loving companion who adores being a part of a family. Benji would love a family who would take him places and make him part of the family. He especially loves going to the beach,
Benji loves to sleep on the bed, lounge, and any dog bed he can select from.
Benji is a social butterfly who gets along famously with cats, dogs, and kids - he's the perfect family pet!
Benji is just a small boy who weighs 4.2kgs
Benji has come into care thru a private surrender and no fault of him.
The rescue has made sure all the vet work has been completed on Benji, and he is now ready to find his furever home.
Benji is toilet trained
Benji walks on a lead however may need a little bit of a touch up on etiquette as even a walk is a fun thing!
Benji loves to play with toys and fetch and any other game that means family fun time - but still learning to return the ball if fetch is being played.......... but the fun is really running for the ball not that bring back part!
Benji loves a car ride and will happily go shotgun anytime with you.
As Benji is still a pup he is learning his manners still and sometimes forgets the rules and likes to jump up at his human and put things that are not his toys in his mouth and have a little chew - but if you keep working with him, he loves to learn.
Benji would love a home where there is someone home obviously more than not but also if he has a playmate that can play with him thru the day while his humans are at work he will be fine - but will want attention when your home!!
Benji would thrive in a home where he's the center of attention, with a family who's always around to give him love and play. Another dog at home, is a must, as Benji loves having a furry friend by his side!
Benji has a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure you remember that is a lifetime of grooming but will also happily sit and be brushed regularly.
Benji is such a happy little man who just love life, and we would love to find him, his fun family filled furever home.

All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
