About Milo
Are you wanting a gorgeous elderly gentleman to steal your heart and probably your seat!
Please meet Milo– a gorgeous 11 year old and 7 month Cavalier King Charles Spaniel furbaby that will put a smile on your face with his love for life
Milo has no idea of his age and his love for life just makes you fall in love with him and want to keep that beautiful smile on his face.
Milo came into care from a personal surrender thru no fault of his own.
Milo did come into care and was immediately sent to our vets for dental work - Milo's mouth was infected and we needed to remove 16 teeth and a scale and polish was completed. Milo now is very happy to show off his smile and loves life!
Milo would like to be with his person 24/7 - he is very well trained and has lovely manners - he will follow you where you go, in the house or out doing errands etc. but be very respectful of your walking space.
Milo does not have any separation anxiety but does like to be with company - think FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) but that's just cause of his zest for life and the sheer joy he gets around his humans.
Milo has been used to living with an elderly owner and as such whilst loves to be in the same room as you will often move quickly to a corner away from you if you stand etc (so that he is not stepped on etc)
Milo loves to sit on your lap if you will allow him and absolutely loves face rubs - milo can have his face rubbed for hours if he was allowed - you literally watch him melt.
Milo loves to sleep on the bed with his humans - any human he is happy with but if he picks a favorite bed - be prepared to share with this gentle boy.
Milo absolutely loves a good meal and now especially with a mouth without pain his appetite is ready and willing to try anything allowed.
Milo loves to go for a walk - he would happily go at least once a day and has no idea that he is a senior dog!
Milo is currently living with another similar size dog to him and he loves to play with her - whether it be chase, tug of war, simply doing zoomies or that wrestle that dogs do.
Milo would love another play friend in his new home.
Milo loves exploring outside in the yard and going for walks, honestly he loves life and is active but then also very happy to be a couch potato with you.
Milo ’s foster mum says he is so full of love and is a happy boy and of course a handsome boy!
Milo is fine with cats
Milo does have a coat that requires grooming / brushing which he happily sits and gets loved on while this is done but please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing requirement.
Milo is toilet trained
Milo is awesome with kids as they are happy to play fetch with him

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
