About Tigger
Tigger is the kind of dog who’ll steal your heart... and probably your couch. A soulful, affectionate Cocker Spaniel with a toy always at the ready, he’s all about companionship, cuddles, and being part of the action—especially if it involves his humans.
Tigger is 7 years and 8 months old and has come into care as a retired breeding boy and now the rescue has completed all his vet work.
He’s a happy medium when it comes to energy—Tigger adores his walks and gets super excited when it’s time to head out, often carrying a toy to celebrate the occasion. He walks well on the lead and settles into a good rhythm once the initial excitement wears off. Back at home, he’s content to curl up on the couch and snuggle for hours.
Tigger is not a constant barker but is quite the little communicator. He’ll bark when it matters, and “chat” to you when he’s excited, curious, or just wants you to admire the toy he’s proudly carrying around. His personality shines through in everything he does—from happy floor-rolls to excited greetings, he makes his feelings known with joyful enthusiasm.
He gets along well with other dogs both big and small, though he loves being the center of attention and can get a little jealous now and then. He’s been working on this and has come a long way. Tigger would be happy as an only dog in a home where he’s adored, but he could also thrive with a well-matched canine companion.
Tigger has not been tested with cats or small animals.
Tigger is best suited to a home with adults or older children who understand his needs and can respect his space when he’s feeling unsure. He’s a soft-hearted, affectionate guy who will form a deep bond with his person, and he thrives in a home where someone is around more often than not.
Tigger is toilet trained, though he’s not a fan of wet weather and may have the occasional slip when it’s raining. Like many dogs, he may also mark in a new environment at first. He hasn’t used a doggy door or crate, but he sleeps happily on his bed next to his people and waits with wagging tail for the house to wake up.
With his expressive nature, love of toys, and snuggly heart, Tigger is full of personality and charm. He’s ready to bring joy, warmth, and a whole lot of tail wags to a lucky home.
If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with a soft coat and an even softer heart, Tigger may just be your perfect match. 💛

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
