About Hank
Are you a beach goer who needs your own personal lifeguard?
Well look no further - that's me ............. My name is Hank and i am a 4 year and 8 month old British Bulldog
I have to get one thing out of the way first and that is I'm deaf - now don't let that put you off - it does not stop me from living life and loving on my foster family - i have been working with some sign language but I’m generally a good boy so don't need a lot of instruction.
I came into care after being rehomed a few times and then found myself in the pound.
The lovely pound ladies reached out and asked the director if they could take me in - she was advised at that stage deaf or hard of hearing. The director said what's the difference with a bulldog ha ha ha ha
One of the amazing pound trainers then worked with me for two weeks to get clarification on some issues that had been reported - and happy to say those issues (barking uncontrollably, chewing on walls / furniture / being obsessed with lights flicking at the wall don't happen) and then the rescue bounced me out of there!
It was confirmed straight away - yep I am deaf.
I spent two weeks at this amazing dog day place where i was able to socialise with other dogs, rest and just have fun - then i went to my carer.
I am dog friendly but as i don't hear i sometimes don't understand other dogs and their behaviors and growls etc so it can upset me when they snap at me - I’m currently a only dog but am very socialize under supervision. (oh yeah except with German Shepherds - only breed i don't like)
I also love to chase birds and have been known to run down the beach practicing my Baywatch run (okay the run might actually be due to my speed ha ha ha) and chase them - of course my foster mum says she yells for me to stop but i can't hear sooooo.....
I also love to chase birds in the backyard and have been known to nearly knock myself out when thinking that the door is open or mum has cleaned the window so good that i think they aren't there - nothing broken but oh boy
My foster mum says I am a little love bug who just loves to be around my humans – I do still respect your personal space (most of the time ha ha ha), but I just love to be near you – I’m happy with chillaxing with you while you watch tv, read a book, do your housework – I will just keep you company I do forget my weight so from time to time I will try and squish you but that’s what a bulldog is for!
I am currently with some kids and I love getting cuddles from them and giving them cuddles. I do try my best and my foster mum says I’m great at watching my bulldozer strength most of the time but I will always come back after i have run you over with a kiss and smile and a wiggle of my butt!
She also says I’m the perfect lifeguard and have 'rescued' the kids from the water a few times and very proud of myself!
My foster mum says I'm a delight to have and one of the kindest sweetest natures she has even seen.
I enjoy good food - my foster mum has said that I know to sit with a tap on the butt and then a tap on the head tells me i can eat. will need to always remember that while girls with a bit of meat on their bones is good – too much food can be an issue
I love to go for a walk and while I do have bulldozer strength I do try and not pull on the lead. I will warn you now, I do love to stop and say hello to anyone that wants to say hello to me and do get sad when people think cause I’m a bulldog I’m scary – I’m not – my foster mum says I’m just a love bug.
I am used to being able to have a nap mostly of a morning, lunchtime and evening (hee hee) and in between all that play. I also snore as a very delicate freight train
I am also an awesome drive buddy but my foster mum has said that from time to time you have to wind the window down really quickly - i have noooo idea what she means by that! It can't be me i would only fart unicorn dust ! But I’m happy to keep you company - sometimes i just do it with my eyes closed while you drive but the thought is there
I currently have a foster family that includes me in every aspect of their lives and i would love that to continue - i sleep on the couch, on the cool tiles or on any of the humans beds, all while in air conditioning.
I love a scratch under the chin and could happily have you do that for hours
My foster mum says if she had one wish for a home I go to it would be a home where I can get cuddles & live out my dream of being a lap squasher, oops I mean dog.
My foster mum says I have the most beautiful nature
I am toilet trained
So if you’re looking for a pretty awesome bulldog then pick me!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
