About Archie
š¾ Archie š¾
Meet Archie, a charming medium-sized Irish Wolfhound mix with a heart full of love and a personality as delightful as his unique appearance. Archie is the epitome of a cuddly companion, exuding warmth and affection in every interaction.
Archie thrives in social environments, getting along splendidly with dogs, cats, and kids alike. With his excellent manners on a leash, heās a joy to walk, making neighborhood strolls a pleasure for both of you.
At home, Archieās favorite pastime involves settling in for cuddles on the couch, often believing he's a lap dog despite his size. He loves nothing more than sleeping in a bed beside his human family, where he feels safe and cherished. This gentle giant is wonderful in the car, making him an ideal companion for road trips and adventures.
Archie's gentle nature means he responds beautifully to calm reassurance and positive reinforcement. One of his most endearing quirks is his slow-motion leap to rest his front paws on your arm when you extend itāa gesture he performs with a heart-melting gentleness. Occasionally tempted by the alluring scents of kitchen counters, Archie may attempt a little counter surfing, but heās easily redirected with kind words.
Archie would love to be adopted into a home with a doggy friend and a backyard to romp in.
If youāre looking for a loyal and affectionate addition to your family, Archie could be the perfect companion. His loving disposition and adaptable nature make him a fantastic fit for a variety of homes, ready to bring endless joy and comfort to his new family's life.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
