About Melbs
Melbs, the ultimate cuddle buddy with a heart full of love! This sweet, easy-going young dog is a Maltese-Pomeranian mix who is well-behaved, house-trained, and ready to be your best friend. With a calm demeanor and a joyful disposition, Melbs is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a dog that is both affectionate and easy to care for.
Melbs absolutely adores his people and loves to cuddle! He will be happiest snuggled up on the couch with you, giving you all the love and attention you can handle. He is fully house-trained and has excellent manners. Whether you're at home or out on a walk, he is polite and knows how to behave in any setting.
Good with other dogs, Melbs enjoys being part of a family and would thrive in a home where he gets to interact with his canine companions or meet new friends at the dog park.
Although easy-going, he has a playful side. He loves a good game of fetch and will sit and beg for treats, making him a fun and engaging companion. His energy level is moderate, making him a great fit for families with children over 6 years old or for active older adults.
He would be a great fit for an active, but easy-going home where he can be both part of the action and enjoy his quiet cuddle time. Whether you're hiking, taking walks, or relaxing, he'll be by your side.
His laid-back, affectionate nature makes him a perfect companion for older adults looking for a loving, easy-to-care-for dog. He will thrive in a home with calm routines and someone who enjoys spending time with him.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
