About Zarly
Just look at that sweet little face! This good natured dog is Zarly, a rough coated Jack Russell Terrier part Energizer Bunny!
She's now ready for a new loving family to step forward to take care of her. Zarly has been in foster care for many weeks and is keen to be a loving companion. A check with the neighbours shows she is prepared to remain at home for a number of hours without barking, whew! But the second you step through the door she will make you the centre of her universe and keep a constant eye on you as you move around the house, watch TV, sleep. She read the dogs job description about being a loyal companion and she's up for it!
She is a good watchdog in that she will give out a couple of warning barks if someone approaches the house. But she hasn't learnt to bark if she needs to go outside for toileting, she will whine and jump at door. But if you don't hear her at night she will find a designated spot for her regular night time activity so a tiled floor would be good.
Of course a doggy door and a secure grassed yard would be ideal! She eagerly anticipates regular walks and her tendency to pull forward on the lead can be checked with the correct anti-pull lead. She wants to joyfully give everyone on her walk a friendly greeting but they get about 10 seconds of attention before she is eager to move on.
Will need recall training, if she slips her lead she would want to run off seeking new adventures. Terriers have a hunting instinct so would not recommend a home with pocket pets and caution around cats. She's gentle with her toys though, not a tear-apart chewer.
So there you have it, her foster carers honest appraisal of this healthy energetic dog. If you are a patient person wanting a lively little companion then this deserving little girl is for you.
