About Lefty
Lefty is a gorgeous tabby and white cat with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that could take on any challenge! Although he's recovering from an injury to his left paw, he doesn't let it slow him down. In fact, he can still throw a right hook that would make Jake Paul jealous - trust us, this kitty knows how to throw a punch (and no, we didn't let Mike Tyson near him for a reason)!
Lefty is as sweet as he is strong, with a soft, lush coat in a stunning mix of tabby stripes and bright white patches. He may not be able to climb to the top of the tree quite as easily as his fellow cats, but she's still the reigning King of the living room - don't be surprised if he attempts a few "paw-some" moves to claim his place!
Lefty loves his toys and will entertain you with his graceful and quirky movements, especially when he gets in a good sprint.
Lefty is a true companion and will show you affection once he feels comfortable, curling up on your lap for cuddles this boy is something super special.
To book a meet and greet with Lefty please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
