About Barry
Barry is a sweet and energetic 6 month old Beagle X Kelpie puppy looking for his forever home after a sad start to life.
Always keen for strokes, cuddles and kisses Barry enjoys saying hi to everyone he meets and thrives off human interaction. Eager to please (especially when tasty treats are involved) Barry is toilet trained and has been learning to master sit, recall, leave it, down, stay and up.
Barry has been having bundles of fun playing with his foster families dog and loves meeting lots of other dogs while out on his walks.
While energetic and always keen to play, Barry also enjoys settling down with a good chew toy or curling up in his cage for a solid nap.
Barry is extremely food motivated which makes him excellent to train and he would be best suited to a family with the patience and love to continue his training. Because he is extremely food motivated, it may be best to feed him separately to any other dogs (or introduce it over time), but he is not food aggressive towards humans whatsoever.
Barry would make a great addition to a loving home looking for a loyal, playful companion.

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
