Oscar - 6 Month Old Kelpie x Samoyed (On Trial)

Oscar is a 6 month old, male, Kelpie x Samoyed puppy. He is as cute and clever as they come!! He is a very playful and curious little fluff ball. He is currently in a foster home with a medium foster sister and a large dog next door he is very confident and plays well.

Oscar has taken very well to being house trained, is fully toilet trained and has learnt to use the doggy door with ease. He has taken very well to being pen trained, sleeps right through the night with no accidents, sits patiently in his playpen waiting for his food bowl to be placed down and signaled its ok to eat.

Oscar walks very well on a lead although he can get very over excited when seeing otherdogs outside of his foster home, with regular interaction he does calm but like every puppy still needs guidance to calm. He’s after a home who will give him plenty of love and walks.

He will thrive with consistant training and stimulation, he has already mastered wait, sit, down (lay), paws down(when he goes to jump), shake and roll over when in a quiet environment without too many distractions. He is currently working on leave it and calm. Oscar is very treat and praise orientated which goes well with training.

Oscar is best suited to a home that has children over 8 as he is still learning to be gentle. He’s met lots of people and is very friendly and affectionate and wants to be best friend with every dog he sees. For the time being we would recommend a house without cats as he has started showing abit of interest towards them. Oscar would benefit from having a medium or larger dog to keep him company while his humans are at work, or someone who is home more often than not.

It is really important that Oscar is welcome inside when people are at home, and sleep inside. He will need good fencing with no small gaps.

Oscars adoption fee is $600. He has been desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
