ABOUT:

🎶So, when the night falls, my lonely heart calls🎶 I'm looking for my greatest love of all, is this you? Hi, I'm Whitney (my foster parents and friends call me Whitty) I'm a sassy, fun, sweet, loyal and loving young lady who loves to sit at the front door and watch the world go by and hang out with my favourite humans. I love to play tug of war and fetch with my favourite snuffle ball, it doesn't need treats, I just love it as it is! I do love cuddles and scratches under my chin but don't like my tail being touched! I'm not a lap dog but once I trust you, I will snuggle up next to you for comfort and love and become your greatest love of all. I still have a couple of bad manners my fosters are working with and will require ongoing training as I growl at loud noises and other dogs walking down my street but I'm learning fast and want to be the best girl for you. My foster parents spray me with water and tell me ENOUGH! It's working! I can be very protective of my foster mum and will growl at other people in the house when I am next to her especially when I have been asleep and wake up with loud noises. I do love other human girls as they seem to understand me. I need a quiet and gentle home to live in with not too many humans.

I also need a home where I would be the only pet as I really don't like other animals in my space! They tend to want my snuffle ball, or my favourite humans love and attention so I will growl at them. I'm very loyal and need consistency in my life to become your best friend. I love to sleep with my favourite humans but will go to my bed if it's really necessary😒 (although I do have a tendency of sneaking back into their bed when I hear some snoring)! Do you know I was crate trained but it was used as a punishment when I was growing up, so now, I really don't like it at all! I do love going places in the car especially with the wind in my hair when leaving home! I still need ongoing training when out walking as I become so excited when I see other dogs so if you adopt me, please continue with this training. I love to run free in the paddock, enjoy the great smells and check out the horses when I go to see my friend! It's great to run around as long as my foster mum is close by. I am a very clever girl so if you are good at training, I think I would be so good at learning some agility exercises! So, what do you think about me? MEDICAL NOTES:
Whitney's ears need to be cleaned weekly with Otoflush. Possible allergies but these can be managed with the correct diet. Possible hip issue with her right hip/leg as she ages but again the right diet and exercise can assist with this.

BEHAVIOURAL NOTES:
Whitney can be anxious and appear aggressive in the house when anyone comes to the door or is startled with loud noises, she has a very convincing growl and will bark. Once they are inside, she jumps and looks for attention. She stops growling and barking quickly if she is ignored until she settles.

Potential separation anxiety, Whitty can cry for a while when left alone outside. She does like to have someone with her most of the time. She is anxious on vet visits and with grooming.

Whitty barks at all dogs when walking but on meeting them she calms immediately and loses interest. Ongoing training on walks is required. She will walk well with other dogs that she knows.
