About Pete
Meet PETE he is the cutest little man looking for a new home.
Pete is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is on the lookout for his new loving family.
Pete's surrender profile states he is house trained, has had some obedience training, can be left alone, good with children and people, friendly with cats and dogs, walks on the leash, travels well in the car.
Pete has been very timid and scared since he has been with us and really isn't coping very well, but has not shown anxiety from actually being in the kennels and has not barked.
He is a super sweet boy and loves to cuddle. He loves he toys and treats.
When we did our behaviour tests we found he showed no interest in our rooster or cats.
With our dogs he did growl and show teeth and snap at them. This could be the Pound environment so as always a meet and greet would be required.
Pete's adoption fee includes his desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination and he's up to date with flea & worm treatment.
If you're interested in meeting Pete, please contact the facility on 0499 900272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com
With regard to our requirements we need photos of your yard, particularly showing the fencing and gates. If you own your home we would need to see a copy of your Current Council Rate Notice, if you rent a copy of your tenancy agreement or letter from the landlord stating that you can have dogs.
Of course, then, if you have another dog, we would need to have you come and meet little Pete and we would also want you to bring your dog with you, we also would need to send your dog's up-to-date vaccination papers.
We are open 7 days a week, 10am to 2pm for meets and greets.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
