About Opal
My name is Ebony and I came into the Shelter along with my mother and four siblings. I'm not biased, but, black kittens are so adorable and, as anyone who's ever had one will tell you, black cats have outstanding purr-sonalities and often possess very quirky behaviours. I'm a sweet, little girl who is becoming more brave each day and now I can be held, stroked and I'll purr. The wonderful staff and volunteers of my shelter are helping me through this. Please read on to find out about my requirements:-
A SAFE INDOOR LIFESTYLE:- the RSPCA strongly recommends that cats live inside for their safety and the safety of the outside wildlife. For further ideas, please refer to this website:- https://safeandhappycats.com.au.
FUN AND ADVENTURE INSIDE MY HOME:- can be provided by a couple of large cat scratchers (placed near a window and the family room), wand toys, warm window-sills and a cardboard box or two. And lots of cuddles.
NUTRITIOUS DIET AND GOOD CARE:- is made of high quality dry biscuits, yummy daily servings of wet food and bowls of fresh, cool water. These last 2 are extremely important for my hydration. Regular visits to the vet are necessary to keep my health top-notch.
FRIENDS:- I may be able to co-habit with gentle, cat-knowledgeable children, under supervision. With guidance and help from the cat guardians, I could possibly live with another cat or a dog.
LAUNCH ROOM:- This is a temporary area (bedroom or crate) that I can feel secure in when or if I become overwhelmed in the home. This will help greatly with my transition to your new home. Providing this is certainly worth the effort!
