As breed traits go Eko is a foodie which is really good as training is so much easier … He would swim all day if you let him and he has the nose of a bloodhound lol sniffing out any food items discarded on a walk that could be a tasty treat .
Eko LOVES to play ball and will play for ever or … well actually till he takes himself out which really doesn't take that long lol
He eventually brings it back after he has finished being a clown with his toy and self entertaining himself .
When it comes to dinner time Eko does his excited happy dance all 4 feet dancing with excitement and sometimes a excited jump up and down but he doesn't get his bowl until all 4 feet are calmly on the ground which m9ght take a few minutes for him to compose himself lol He literally will eat anything you place in front of him and raw carrots are one of his favorites
Eko has been working on his manners as he can be extremely jumpy for a hug when excited in which he has been working very hard on and is learning to keep all 4 paws on the ground to get attention but this is still a work in progress and will need a dog savvy family to continue this guidance with him.
Eko is happy to be at home alone while his family are at work BUT as young Labs go if you don't leave him things to entertain himself with …. He will find things YOU don't want him too .lol
Eko has learnt to sit and his recall is becoming great
Eko now finds car travel SOOOO exciting as initially he was scared of the car but now he has learnt that the { Time Machine} takes him fun places everyday he now excitedly jumps into the car full of enthusiasm for his next adventure.
When it comes to a walk Eko thinks he is in heaven as he just LOVES Loves Loves going for his daily walk and has been exposed to pretty much everything you can think of and he doesn't shy away from anything. From Bushwalking to sand,rivers,creeks, city walking Eko takes it all in his stride and enjoys every moment he can.He does start off a little strong on lead as most dogs do but with good corrections settles into a great pace very quickly.

Eko loves every single human he meets and will shower them with so much love and affection. He thinks belly runs are the best and despite his size still believes he should be a lap dog …
Eko has been on daily outings for many weeks with multiple dogs and shows such kind and well mannered behaviors greeting all with a tail wag and a lick. He is still earning how to actually play with other dogs as this seems to be a new experience for him and when another dog jumped on him became quite upset soI feel he is at this point in his development best as an only dog with his new family ensuring they continue to work on positive experiences only for him going forward. He has shown no aggression with other dogs even choosing to walk away when he has seen aggression so his temperament to be an amazing social boy is fabulous so I want to ensure this is the upbringing he has as he is still so young . He has even had those experiences of “ DOGS OFF LEAD” running over to him at full pelt and he responded very politely and continued on his way. Such a good boy !
Eko is definitely suited to a fun loving experienced home who have the time and more importantly the patience to train an guide a young fun loving excitable affectionate Lab whose heart can sometimes overtake his developing brain lol

Adoption Criteria
An active family with a love of training with patience and strong training skills
A home with a med to large yard with secure fencing , shade and shelter
Kids in the home would be great as he adores them, but we seek school ages and dog savvy and are mature enough to help guide him in his training
A home that can keep him stimulate and well exercised throughout his life
A home that will continue to socialize him with positive experiences as he has a lovely temperament with others but needs to work on his play skills
