About Lincoln
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
Lincoln is one of the sweetest, most loving and charming little gentlemen that you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. He absolutely adores human company, has a lot of love to give and a personality that will keep you amused always.
He was adopted from the RSPCA at 8 weeks old and has been living with the same lovely older woman for his entire life. Sadly his owner was forced to move into a retirement home and could not take Lincoln with her so he's now on the lookout for a new forever home.
Lincoln is a sweet and affectionate companion with a big personality. He is a true lap cat that loves and pat and a scratch and likes nothing better than to curl up besides you. He especially loves to cuddle at bedtime and will make sure you're never lonely as you fall asleep. Lincoln loves to be picked up and smooched when when he's in the mood for a cuddle he will tap you on the leg with his paw to let you know that he would like to be picked up and cuddled.
He is a very chatty little man who loves his treats and will always let you know when it's time for food. And if you're a crazy cat person likes us, he's is the type of cat that you can have a conversation with for hours.
Lincoln absolutely loves people and once he gets to know you he will follow you from room to room to keep an eye on you and make sure that he is part of whatever you are doing. This little gentleman has so much unconditional love to give it's not even fair.
He would do really well in a quiet household in the country with loving people where he could be the center of attention. A retiree or homebody who's happy to give him the freedom he needs to come and go as he pleases would be a great perfect fit.
DISCLAIMER
The above description is based on information we were provided by his previous owner.
Since he has been removed from his happy home Lincoln has shown signs of the being the sweet and affectionate boy described above but has also seemed quite stressed and frustrated at being in foster care.
He was obviously the center of attention in his previous home and had the freedom to come and go as he pleased in his country home so we believe he's a bit grumpy now that he is more confined. We are hopeful that his sweet and affectionate side will come out fully once the right home is found.
His current carer has become quite fond of him and Lincoln obviously feels the same, so he obviously has plenty of love to give. Lincoln will rub up against his legs, sit next to him on the couch and will sometimes even chill out on his lap. His carer has been able to pick him up but only for short periods of time before he wants to be put back down.
He is very sweet and loving on his own terms but sadly we haven't seen much of that that super affectionate side of him. Again we believe this is due to him being grumpy and being removed from his happy home and are hopeful that his super smoochy side will come out once he is settled in his new home.
Lincoln has a strong personality and is a bit of a tom cat that is used to being the king of the castle and doing things his own way. He is not a fan of other cats and will sit at the window in the evening guarding the house from the possums and mice that come out at night time. He is also quite vocal when protecting the home.
Lincoln also loves being outdoors so we would love to find him a home where he has plenty of outdoor access and could potentially come and go as he pleases. He is taken outside regularly on a lead and harness in his foster home but you can tell he would love to be able to spend more time chilling outdoors.
He has recently become very fond of his carers shoes and can often be found sleeping on them or trying to get inside them.
Lincoln is approximately 5 years old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little fella with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with him.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
