About Millie
**SHY GIRL**
Introducing HD2944 Millie - a beautiful, sweet, shy girl who needs a whole lot more one-on-one time.
She's a border collie mix who's developed some anxiety about walks, so she mostly plays in the back yard.
She likes to play with her toy rope and enjoys scratches and cuddles, especially enjoying big stuffed toys to cuddle up to.
She also loves her snacks and treats.
Millie is an expressive girl who appreciates every minute you can spend with her.
She loves a cuddle at night time and will lay on your arm once comfortable with you.
Millie would be the perfect dog for someone with space, time and knowledge who would like a velcro dog with some quirks.
She may also do much better in a cooler environment as she does struggle quite a bit in the heat.
Millie hasn't had many experiences with other animals, she has been around a few dogs when she was younger and was not bothered by them, or a pet rabbit, but we know that may change as she gains confidence in herself, she is at least part herding breed.
Millie has been socialised with people of all ages except for young kids and is very gentle despite her nerves, but for this reason we would suggest a family with kids over 10 who can respect her boundaries.
She is semi-toilet trained but does have quite a few accidents which we believe stem from anxiety, a more stable home environment and back to basics, or crate/pen training could help here.
Millie is not currently a fan of frequent car rides, and due to her anxiety on walks she's not great on leash either, she much prefers staying at home.
Millie knows some commands like sit, go to bed and inside/outside, and she knows how to tell a secret when asked (will sniff really close to your ear).
If you've read this far and still think this darling work in progress would blossom in your family, message us or email hedland.dogs@safe.org.au to meet her.
