About Annie
Meet Annie – A Tiny Sweetheart with a Big Heart!
Annie is a charming and affectionate Chihuahua Poodle cross who may be small in size but is huge in personality and love! This little lady thrives on being close to her humans, and there's nothing she enjoys more than curling up in your lap, showering you with kisses, and keeping you company. Known as a certified lap dog, Annie has a special way of making everyone around her feel adored and cherished. Whether she's observing her surroundings from the backrest of the sofa or playing with her favourite squeaky toys, Annie is always content as long as she’s near the ones she loves.
Ideal Home for Annie: Annie has a chronic condition called Addison’s disease, which requires daily medication. This means she needs a dedicated and loving home where her health care needs can be met, and her medication is given regularly. The good news is that Annie takes her meds easily with food, and she’s expected to live a long and happy life with the right care.
Annie is currently thriving in an apartment setting, so she’s perfectly suited to smaller spaces. However, she would love to be in a home where her humans are around more often since she’s not a fan of being left alone for extended periods of time. This sweet girl is a true companion and would thrive in a home where she’s the centre of attention and can get plenty of cuddle time!
Energy Level: While Annie is always ready for her daily walk in the park or around the neighbourhood, she’s not overly high-energy. A nice stroll is perfect for her, and she enjoys zooming around the house with her squeaky toys when the mood strikes. Annie is also a fantastic little adventurer – she loves joining her humans at cafes, shops, or even pubs, as long as she gets to be with you, preferably in your arms or curled up on your lap. If you’re looking for a compact companion who loves to get out and about but doesn’t require hours of exercise, Annie is your girl!
Compatibility with Other Pets and Children: Annie has not shown much interest in playing with other dogs at this stage, but in her foster home, she shares space with an older female Boxer cross, and they get along well. She would likely do best in a home with another calm, dog-friendly pet of a similar size, or perhaps a larger dog with a gentle temperament. Annie has not been tested with cats, so we can't speak to her compatibility with them.
While she’s very affectionate, Annie can be a little shy at first and isn’t a fan of busy, noisy environments. For this reason, she would do best in a quieter, adult-only home, or a household with older children who are dog-savvy and understand the importance of giving her space when she needs it.
Are You Ready for a Lifetime of Love from Annie?
Annie is ready to be your best friend, cuddle buddy, and sidekick for life. If you’re looking for a small but mighty companion who will fill your days with love and loyalty, Annie may just be the perfect match for you. She’s waiting to meet you and start her next chapter with a forever family who will give her the care and attention she deserves.
Could that family be yours?

Addison's disease in dogs (also called hypoandrenocorticism) occurs when your dog's adrenal glands aren't producing adequate levels of corticosteroid hormones.
