About Oliver
Oliver
Get ready to meet the boy who will capture your heart!
Oliver is a young ball of fluff with a personality that outshines the brightest star.
Oliver arrived in our lives after finding himself in a rural pound, a place where hope can sometimes seem lost. But the moment we saw him, we knew he had to come into our village. There was something special about this little boy, a spark in his eye that begged to be fanned into a flame.
Even his name, Oliver, means "the one who carries hope"
Since the day he first arrived, Oliver has been an absolute pleasure. His affectionate nature and cuddly demeanor have captured hearts at every turn. He showers everyone he meets with heaps of head nudges, begging for scratches and snuggles.
But Oliver's charms extend far beyond his physical affection. He carries himself with a confidence that is truly inspiring. This is a boy who loves everyone he meets, who greets each new person and experience with an open heart
Oliver may have started his journey in a place of uncertainty, but he is ready to embrace a future filled with love, comfort, and endless delight. Can you provide the forever home this shining boy so deserves?
Medical notes
Oliver is FIV+
FIV is an autoimmune disease spread only through (and to) cats.
There is no ongoing medical costs, just a life of comfort and love. As the disease progresses, they can become more susceptible to infections and diseases and can suffer from longer recovery times. If they are kept indoors, this minimises the risk exponentially 💕
14-29% of Australian cats are FIV+
They aren’t often diagnosed unless they get sick. Most live the same happy and long lives as any other cat.
FIV isn’t a death sentence, it just means he needs good food, to be kept inside, and most importantly, have someone to love!
FIV can be vaccinated for and is primarily transmitted through bite wounds. This means infected cats can often live with another healthy, social cat with very minimal risk of infection.
FIV is a degenerative disease However, Infected cats will often live full, happy and healthy lives with very few complications.
It is best FIV cats are kept indoors. Keeping them inside not only stops them from passing on the disease to another cat, but also protects them from secondary diseases and infections that their immune system will struggle with.
