About Angel (Beau and Angel)
Beau and Angel are a delightful bonded pair who look out for one another.
Beau is a Bichon Frise, 14 years old and teeny tiny Angel is a Maltese aged 9 years.
Their story is a sad one but we’re doing our best to ensure it has a happy ending for them.
Angel was adopted from us 8 years ago after being found as a stray, apparently malnourished with her coat in a terrible matted mess. She was adopted by an older couple who already had Beau. Fast forward till just recently when their human dad passed away. Their human mum has moved interstate to be near family, to a unit that doesn’t allow pets, so they were surrendered to us.
They have settled in beautifully with my husband and I and our menagerie of dogs and cats, big and small. Their previous life included periodic visits by several 8 year old granddaughters who adored them.
They enjoy their little outings in the garden but aren’t overly interested in going for structured walks. Beau loves to follow us around - Angel adores cuddles and sitting on a lap. They love their food, travel well in the car and are easy to groom and bath.
Beau and Angel would be best suited to a quiet home, where someone is around more often than not. A home with another small dog would be fine - Angel is beginning to interact with our younger girls, doing the occasional zoomie with them.
Angel loves to sit on your lap
They deserve peace and quiet in their twilight years as in their previous home and their foster home here with us.
Not suited to busy young families.
Medical notes
Beau and Angel have had their annual vaccinations and vet checks their entire lives. At Beau’s most recent appointment since he’s been with us, the vet described him as “ageing well”. Beau and Angel have had dentals this week so have no issues with their teeth.
Angel passed her check up with flying colours as well.
Beau weighs around 7.5 kilos and Angel 2.4 kilos.
Adoption details
Please express your interest by sending an email through PetRescue.
Tell us about the home and lifestyle you can offer a dog.
We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dogs would be left alone during a typical week.
If you have other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the possibility of adding another dog at a later stage (the exception would be if the dog being rehomed is not so good with other dogs).
Please also let us know where the dogs will sleep and if they will be welcomed inside.
