Meet Licorice! Don’t let his sleek, compact appearance fool you – this little guy is built for eating! In fact, he’s the first to notice when the food bowl is even a tiny bit low, and you’ll hear all about it. If he sees the bottom of the bowl, you’d think the world was ending! He’s quick to let you know that he’s about to starve – and clearly, he deserves another serving.

When it comes to playtime, Licorice is a toy enthusiast through and through. He loves to entertain himself by batting toys around, sending them flying off every surface in sight. But what really gets him excited is interactive play with humans. If you’ve got a string toy, you’re in for a show! He’ll pounce, leap, and swat with the kind of energy that shows just how much he’s living for the thrill of the chase. The wind through his fur as he plays is pure bliss for him, and his inquisitive nature means he’s always the first to investigate an open cupboard or check out anything new.

When it’s time to relax, Licorice has a soft spot for fluffy beds and blankets. He’ll cosy up, curl himself in, and purr like a motorboat. It’s surprising, given how slender he is, but trust us – that purr is louder than you’d expect from such a tiny cat!

Licorice is a bit shy at first, so it might take him a little while to warm up to the hustle and bustle of a household with kids. But once he’s comfortable, he’ll happily hang out with them—until he spots something even more exciting, like the Lego cabinet being left open. Then, watch out! If this happens, he goes into full ninja mode and grabs something and runs around the house showing off the Lego like a trophy as he takes a victory lap.

He loves the other cats in the house too, whether it’s playing, snuggling, or just soaking up any free grooming they offer.

As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
