Nature
Danika is equal parts timid and incredibly loving. Earning her trust and affection takes a little time, during which she'll appreciate having a cozy hiding spot - like a cat tower or a quiet, enclosed pen. Sit with her, read to her, tell her how beautiful she is, and offer plenty of creamy treats, and eventually, she’ll let you give her a pat. And once she does, there’s no going back.

Danika absolutely loves pats and scritches. She adores being held and cuddled, and she has an endless supply of kisses and boops to give! While she won’t come out of her shell right away, with a little patience and a lot of love, Danika becomes the sweetest, most devoted companion you could ask for.

Danika has been a superstar in a quiet home with one other cat and a large, respectful dog. She thrives in calm environments where she can receive the consistent love and attention she deserves. A quieter home - with either one other cat or a gentle dog, and older children who can respect her sensitive nature - would be the perfect fit for her.

👎 Guests: Danika isn’t the most social cat when it comes to visitors. She’ll likely find a quiet hiding spot when guests are over - don’t take it personally, and let your visitors know not to either!

👎 Coming on too strong: In the first few days, Danika may hiss out of fear - she’s just feeling overwhelmed. The best thing you can do is give her space, go slow, and let her come to you on her own terms. Creamy treats are a great way to gently earn her trust, and with patience, Danika will reward you with love a thousand times over.

My PURR-fect home would be a calm, quiet home where I’ll be given plenty of love and the time I need to settle in at my own pace. I’d do best with older, respectful kids - or no kids at all - who understand my need for gentle interactions. I’d love a feline friend, but just one, please! That way I can still enjoy your attention without feeling overwhelmed. Most importantly, I’d thrive with someone who’s home often and can spend consistent, quality time with me as I learn to trust and love you.
