About Rocky
Meet Rocky!
Our gorgeous boy Rocky is more than ready to be your loyal & loving companion. This beautiful boy looks the part of a brave & fearless warrior, but in reality, he is a real cuddle bug who can, at times, feel a bit timid.
Rocky has not seen much of the outside world & is just starting to find out how interesting & exciting it can be! He heads out every morning on his walk & is quickly learning the skill of walking nicely by your side on his harness. He is a very affectionate boy who looks to the people he trusts for reassurance. He has been gaining confidence daily, having positive interactions with volunteers & staff & he is fast becoming a shelter favourite!
Rocky would definitely benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training & guidance since he is a young guy with lots to learn. We believe that he would make an excellent family pet as long as his new guardians give him the time, patience & understanding he needs. Slow, positive exposure to new situations & environments are best for Rocky to allow him the space he needs to not be overwhelmed with sudden changes.
Rocky loves treats which will help to win him over, make positive associations with things & smash those training goals! He has also met other dogs at the shelter & after an initial shyness, he was happy to make friends & buddy up for walks.
Come & meet our handsome & loving boy Rocky, he can't wait to meet you & be your forever friend & devoted companion :)
