About Demour
Hello there! I'm Demour, a laid-back kitty with a heart full of love and a dream of finding my forever family. I'm a pretty simple gal-I don't need much to be happy, just a cozy spot to snuggle up and people to call my own. I'm the perfect mix of sweet and chill, and I just love being near my humans. Whether it's watching a family movie, catching up on work from home, or supervising homework, I'm right there with you, keeping you company in my own quiet way.
I'll thrive in a home with just about any family, big or small. I'm good with kids as long as they're respectful and know that I might need a little alone time now and then-just like everyone does! I have a bit of a foodie side, so treat time is always the highlight of my day, and I'll be your best friend for a tasty snack. And let me tell you, I'm a sucker for a good head rub; I'll nudge you with my soft little head until I get all the scratches I can handle!
If you're looking for a sweet companion who will be by your side, purring away and filling your days with love, I could be the one for you. I'm just waiting for a family to call mine. Can't wait to meet you and settle into a life of snuggles and happy moments together!
To book a meet and greet with Demour please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
