About Dorian Grey
Requirements:
Experienced owners
Must meet all family members
Kids (5yrs+)
Calm & quiet home
Inside only
Meet Dorian Grey,
Dorian is gentle boy who is best suited to an experienced cat owner. Dorian is independent, a little sensitive, but also very friendly. He can be a little aloof sometimes, and he is known to be stubborn sometimes too as well as lazy... He craves affection from his carers & reciprocates affection in return. Dorian is also a chatty boy and loves to talk to you.
Dorian Grey is a good fit for people who live in a calm & quiet home as he is a bit sensitive to noise.
Dorian is best suited to kids that are 5 years & up. Although he is an affectionate & loving boy, he truly likes peace & quiet and the ability to do his own thing. He doesn't like being forced to do something that he's not super keen on doing. Dorian is confident in himself & confident in knowing what he wants, too.
Dorian Grey is fine to be picked up for short periods of time, preferring all four paws are on the ground. He loves attention and especially loves his cheeks & neck being scratched.
Unfortunately, Dorian Grey is not suitable to live with dogs, as they scare him.
We feel that Dorian Grey would be able to co-exist and make cat friends in time, providing that the introduction is slow so that he can get used to his new home & any new feline friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Dorian may be a little too sensitive for outside living due to the noise. Plus, if he is outside, it will increase his chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside only cat he can be safe & sound & live his best life.
Dorian has low energy levels – we rarely see him play and he's not that interested in toys either. What makes him super happy is a comfy bed, a spot of sunlight & some good old-fashioned pats.
Dorian is not fussy with his food either - he tends to graze through out the day, so you can free feed him. He also always uses his litter tray without any issues.
Staff Comments: Dorian spends most of his day sleeping in his bed. He is a little stubborn and does what he wants, he's a very chatty boy& loves to talk. He's the kind of cat that just wants to do his own thing.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
