🐾 Hi there, I’m Bruce! 🐾

It’s been 426 days since I arrived at BARC. That’s a long time, isn’t it? I’ve watched lots of my friends find their families — tails wagging as they go off to their forever homes. I’m so happy for them… but I can’t help wondering when it will be my turn.

I’m a 2-year-old Staffy cross, full of love, loyalty, and a little bit of goofy charm. Everyone here says I’m the most tolerable, gentle boy — the kind who just wants to make people smile. I love humans of all ages and other dogs too. Honestly, I just love having company!

I’ve been learning lots while I’ve been here. I can sit, I’m good at feet placement, and I’m learning how to lie down. I walk really nicely on the lead too — no pulling, just happy trotting alongside you. I’m also good in a crate, especially when it’s cozy and full of treats.

The staff here tell me I’m so smart, and they all adore me (I think the feeling’s mutual 🐶). They say I’d make the perfect family companion — loyal, cuddly, and always ready for a new adventure or a nap on the couch.

There’s just one little thing I need help with: when I get bored or lonely, I can jump really high fences. I don’t mean to cause trouble — I just miss being near my people. So, I’ll need a family who can keep me inside, or on a long lead or in a crate outside when they’re not home. I promise, if you keep me safe, I’ll give you all the love in the world in return.

All I really want is a home — somewhere warm, where I can finally unpack my heart and never have to wonder where I belong again.
