About Spot
Hi… it’s me, Spot. 🐾
I’m 4 years old now, and I’ve been at BARC for 498 days. That’s more than a year of watching other dogs come and go… and wondering when it will be my turn. I try to stay hopeful, but some days it gets hard.
I’m a friendly boy—everyone here tells me I’m sweet and loving, and I love people and other dogs so much. I dream of having my own family to lean on, someone whose lap I can rest my head in when I’m tired, someone who will throw my toys and laugh when I bring them back.
The staff always give me love, but when the lights go out at night, I still feel lonely. I don’t understand why no one has chosen me. I promise I’m trying to be a good dog.
I should be honest… when I’m left alone too long or get really bored, I can jump high fences. I don’t do it to misbehave—I just get scared of being by myself, and I want to find someone. But I am good in a crate—it helps me feel safe, and I settle down nicely there. If I had a home where I felt secure and wasn’t left to feel lonely, I wouldn’t need to try so hard to escape.
I’ve waited 498 days for someone to see me… really see me. I just want a place where I belong, where I can finally stop wondering if I’ll ever have a family of my own.
Maybe, just maybe… you could be the one to give me that chance.
Love,
Spot 🐶💔
