La la la-la la la, sing a happy song. La la la-la la la, Smurf your whole day long! La la la-la la la, adopt a hound, you can’t go wrong! And who knows, maybe I’m the one for you!

I’m a beautiful blue hound, which is probably why they call me Smurf, even though I can’t whistle and I don’t have a little white hat with matching pants, haha! I’m a happy, bouncy guy who LOVES meeting new people. I love meeting other hounds too, but I’m still learning my manners. I just get SO excited, you know? I’m like Clumsy Smurf after he crosses a room without landing on his face- joyful, exuberant and a little socially awkward. But my human friends help redirect me if I go all over-eager and OTT and I’m happy for that. I’m not great around smaller dogs yet and I get a bit protective of my stuff, so I’m probably best suited to a single houndy home. My friends at Greyhound Rescue are also still testing out whether kids are well suited to me, so watch this space for more information.

you’re looking for a handsome blue guy to go on walks with, you have plenty of pats and snuggles to spare and you’re happy to turn your home into a mini Smurf Village, with me in it! With me by your side, you don’t have to worry about any Gargamel types- even cartoon villains will melt when they meet me. La la la-la la la ! Sing a happy song! La la la-la la la! No one can resist my brand of bouncy goofball for long!

Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
