Reginald, is a sweet, gentle Italian Greyhound who’s ready to find his forever home. Though he may be small, he’s got a big heart and is looking for someone with patience and understanding to help him grow into his true self.

Reginald came into care after spending the first 9 months of his life without human interaction. Understandably, he was quite nervous at first, but he’s slowly beginning to trust people. With time, love, and consistency, he’s already starting to shine, showing his playful and affectionate side. Reginald’s ideal family will be one that can offer him the space to adjust at his own pace.

This little guy absolutely loves other dogs, and he would be thrilled to have a doggy friend of a similar size to play and zoom around with. He’s found his voice, and while he might not be a fan of bigger dogs bossing him around, he loves making his opinions known to them! Reginald is also an adventurer at heart—he enjoys beach trips, sniff walks, and the occasional splash in the water.

On walks, Reginald does well on a lead and is learning his name and some recall, although he’s still too anxious for off-lead playtime. He would do best in a home where he has a canine companion for company when left alone, and he’s very food motivated, making training an exciting opportunity. He’s also a snuggler—Reginald loves sleeping under the covers with his humans and is known to be a loyal and affectionate little shadow.

Reginald has been tested with cats and while he’s curious, he doesn’t show any interest in chasing or playing with them at this stage. He would prefer a home where someone is home more often, as he thrives on human interaction and consistency.
