About Rusty
Are you in search of a new best mate? Are you after a dog that's intelligent, eager to please and has a bright career ahead of them in dog sports? Well, allow us to introduce you to Rusty!
Rusty is a great young dog that has his sights set on becoming 'The Goodest Boy In The World'! He's quick to learn and loves it when he knows he's made you proud. He thrives when his brain is engaged and would be a great candidate for obedience training and a range of dog sports.
This happy boy has never met a person he doesn't love, so much so that he hasn't quite mastered the art of expressing his enthusiasm while keeping all four paws on the ground. He certainly means well, but small children might find his zest for life a little much at times. Rusty is great around older kids and is always up for backyard fetch games!
'Run' and 'chase' are two of Rusty's favourite words. He loves high-intensity tag games with his fellow canine at the dog park and would be happy to share his home with a compatible dog. A young dog who shares a love of high-energy play and has a great 'off-switch' would be an excellent mentor and companion for Rusty. It's all part of 'good boy' training right?
After giving his mind and body a thorough workout Rusty loves to snuggle up in his bed and look forward to his dinner. He's great at waiting for the 'okay' to eat his food, and also has a few neat party tricks like 'roll over' and 'play dead'.
Rusty is used to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle where he's included in household activities. He would thrive in an outer suburban setting where he has free access to a large backyard and daily opportunities to exercise his brain and body. If you have a rural property Rusty would love waking up to the fresh air and stretching his legs around the countryside...he just might need to be taught recall before he ventures off leash in public.
So, are you up for being Rusty's coach on his mission to be named 'The Goodest Boy In The World'? He's got the makings of a superstar and he can't wait to meet you!

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
