Meet Leo, a wise and gentle senior kitty with a heart as golden as his fur. This sweet boy is in need of a loving forever home where he can enjoy the simple pleasures in life - warm laps, gentle head scratches and lazy afternoons spent napping by a sunny window.
Leoās world was turned upside down in early October this year when his human mum suddenly passed away from pancreatic cancer. The life Leo had known - where it was just him and his mum - was over. So we stepped in to help when Leoās home was sold. Sadly, he had no family to take him in.
Leo has spent his years spreading love and companionship, and now heās looking for a place to see out his golden years in comfort and peace. While he may be a little slower on his paws, heās big on snuggles and is always up for a chat if youāre in the mood for company. Leo is a vocal, chatty boy!
Leo is very low-maintenance and perfectly content with a soft bed, a few tasty treats and someone to keep him company. He spends a lot of his time cat napping or watching the world go by from the safety of indoors.
At nearly 17 years old, Leo would love a quiet home where he can settle in as the king of his castle, ideally with someone who appreciates his calm and loving nature.
Leo might be a senior, but heās got so much love left to giveāand heās hoping to share it with a special person whoāll cherish him for the wonderful old soul he is.
At his tender age, Leo needs to be your only pet. He is too old to get used to other cats or a dog. Leo has no experience with a dog at all and it would be too much for him.
Leo is in good health for his age. He has recently been thoroughly vet checked and we can provide his vet records for your review. He is a little fussy with his food (but who wouldnāt be at 16 years old?) so as long as you stick to what he likes you will be totally fine.
Leo is litter trained and really needs someone to give him the kind of love he once knew before his mumma passed away, leaving him all lone in the world.

Adoption details
HOW TO ADOPT FROM US:
1. Email dandycatrescue@yahoo.com and request an adoption form to be sent to you, fill it out and return it to us. Weāll be in touch!
2. If your application is successful, weāll make arrangements for you to visit our cats and kittens at our foster carerās home.
3. We ask that you pay the nominated fee to us via online bank deposit either at the adoption day or at the home visit (preferred), or in cash. We do not accept eftpos, credit or debit card transactions at this stage.
4. You will be provided with a folder of paperwork for your new kitty upon adoption. Your adoption fee includes a Central Animal Records Change of Ownership that is completed by us online two weeks after the adoption.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
