About Zak - 9 year old Chihuahua (Long-Coat)
Meet Zak, a gentle soul with a heart yearning for a peaceful home. He's a shy guy, preferring the quiet comfort of solitude to the hustle and bustle of a busy household. He's yet to discover the joy of a frolicsome walk, but with a patient owner, he may yet learn to love it, but for now he's a homebody, content to stay within the safe confines of his home environment.
Zak needs a loving, single older-person household that understands his timid nature and is willing to give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. Zak is not a fan of strangers, so a low foot traffic home where he feels safe is a necessity.
Whilst Zak is not a lap dog, and is not keen on getting pats, he will give you the biggest tail wags and is a sweet lovely vulnerable soul.
Zak has been in care for a few weeks now, and it does take him a while to trust. He is a rather scared of humans little fellow and really needs a forever home that will be patient with him. He has started taking treats from his foster carer hand, before darting off a safe distance to eat it.
Zak would love a little fur sibling to snuggle up with. He enjoys sitting on the couch with his foster fur siblings.
Zak will happily sleep in a crate. He is fully house trained and uses a doggy door.
Zak in brief:
• Dog friendly
• Needs a secure yard
• Needs a single person home
• Not tested on cats, bunnies’ birds etc
Zak is in foster care in Medowie, NSW and is available for adoption within NSW.
Zak has an adoption fee is $400.
