About Ernie
We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Ernie sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your own adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!
Are you searching for a child-friendly feline? Well then, you should definitely come and meet Ernie!
Ernie is adventurous and loves large boxes to play and sleep in. He and very sweet and loves making biscuits. Ernie can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and loves head massages and attention from his family.
Ernie originally lived as an indoor/outdoor cat but is now used to life as an exclusively indoor lifestyle with access to an enclosed balcony. He also enjoys going outside on a lead and harness and would love his new humans to continue this training with him. Ernie would do well with a family who is often home and can shower him with love.
Ernie would be a wonderful match for a calm household with no other pets, unless you have enough love in your heart for Ernie's best pal Angie then why not adopt them both and bring twice the joy into your home!

Medical notes
Ernie is deaf. Rest assured, being deaf doesn't stop him from exploring his surroundings and enjoying life. Ernie currently takes medication for anxiety, which helps keep him calm and happy. He loves mischief, spending quality time with his family, and accepting delicious treats.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
