About Murphy - 16 Week Old Kelpie X Border Collie (Trial
Meet Murphy, a 16-week-old Kelpie/Border Collie with a wonderful blend of confidence, energy, and enthusiasm. He is a bright, and loyal companion, always ready for an adventure and a quick learner. He’s perfect for an active family or as a fitness partner or a confident companion for other dogs, fitting straight in with other new dogs he meets and absolutely loving playing with kids and meeting new people.
He is both house-trained and crate-trained, while making great progress with leash manners, thriving on positive reinforcement and praise. He has a very strong natural curiosity and enjoys both human companionship and other dogs, making him a versatile addition to any home.
Currently fostered with a family with older children, two other dogs, his sibling Finn. Murphy also has cows, horses, and chickens at his foster home —taking it all in stride with a great level of confidence and intrigue.
Murphy's adoption fee is $700 which includes desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
He is in foster care in Port Stephens, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
To apply to meet Murphy, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
