About Princess Peach
*In foster care in Erskineville, Sydney*
Princess Peach has just one wish - to find herself a peaceful, laidback lifestyle with humans who'll worship and pamper her like the perfect girl she is!
Despite being a youthful three years of age, she's a bit of an old soul, and she can't wait to kick back and take it easy in your cosy home.
Peach has been through tough times as a street cat who gave birth to kittens in someone's garden, before she and her babies arrived in foster care. She did take a while to adjust to indoor life, but it's safe to say she's come round :)
Once she's feeling comfortable in her new home, expect lots of chilled-out hangs in the living room with you, dotted with requests for pats and play! Here she is enjoying some affection: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vnG4FslOteo

Bedtime is Peach's favourite though, especially if she can do that with you as well. She's just discovered sleeping on the bed with her foster humans and the other cats, and if she has her way, there's no going back!
Like all Maggie's pets, Princess Peach is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be a quiet, calm environment where I can enjoy indoor life for a while, but I could be suited to an indoor/outdoor life down the track. I'm used to a household where the humans work outside the home, but a WFH situation would also be great! I also need a few litter trays around that get cleaned out regularly.
Starting out in a smaller room would be ideal before I branch out into your full house. I have a little shell bed that helps me feel safe, and I'll hide under human beds or couches sometimes when there are loud noises. Gentle love and affection, and lots of patience from humans are my love languages, and I'm a HUGE fan of pats and chin scratches too!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Very relaxed overall! After a morning play, I tend to snooze and nap all day. If I have a sibling who'll play with me, there might be some chasing, wrestling and bathing from time to time.
I must admit I do adore my 'Da Bird' toy, but ideally from a position where I can lay on my back and just flop to and fro, while batting the toy with my paws - like so: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/TXqTOgLls9o
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't had much experience with children. As I enjoy a low-stimulus household, older teenagers would be my best match.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I absolutely LOVE other cats! I very much like to get up close and purrsonal to my foster siblings, but I'm respectful of their space as well. A feline friend will help me feel more confident in my forever home and would be my preference, for sure!
I haven't met any dogs since arriving in foster care.
Medical notes
Peach has had a recent dental and some teeth removed.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
