Shadow - 16 Week Old Kelpie X (On Trial)

Shadow is a gentle and affectionate puppy who is well-suited for a family environment with children of various ages. Her calm demeanor and desire to be close to people suggest that she thrives on companionship. However, it is noted that she may not be the best fit for a household with a full-time worker, as she prefers to have someone around.

Shadow has shown compatibility with other dogs, although she takes her time to form bonds, indicating that she may benefit from a more placid canine companion who respects her space while also engaging in play when she feels comfortable. Her behavior in the car is commendable, and she does not exhibit food aggression or issues with sharing toys, which are positive traits for a family pet.

At 16 weeks old, Shadow has already learned basic commands such as "sit" and is progressing with toilet training and using the doggy door. However, it seems that more one-on-one training time would be beneficial for her development. While she has shown some interest in the household's chickens, she appears to be manageable around other pets, such as parrots, with supervision.

Overall, Shadow is a sweet and loving puppy who enjoys cuddling and being with people, making her a potentially wonderful addition to a loving home that can provide her with the attention and companionship she craves.

Shadow's adoption fee is $700 which includes her desexing wshen she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.

Shadow is in foster care in Dungog, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 5 to 6 months old.
