About Amy & Ginger
Introducing Ginger & Amy!
Ginger is a Beagle born 14th October 2018.
Amy is a Beagle x Cavalier born 18th February 2021.
Both girls were surrendered to the facility due to their owner fleeing domestic violence. Their previous owner said they could be rehomed separately, however they both became incredibly stressed when we tried to separate them and only settled when they were put back together again. It was clear to us that they needed to be a bonded pair.
Their surrender profile states; they are not house trained, they travel well in the car, they have no separation anxiety, they're friendly with children and adult strangers and they're friendly with other dogs.
Since being at the facility Ginger has shown she's the more confident of the two girls, however it doesn't take long for Amy to warm up to you as well. They're both incredibly sweet girls and surprisingly quiet. They love human affection and will sit on your lap if given the chance.
Both girls tested well with other dogs. They were quite submissive and showed no reaction when another dog growled at them. We believe Ginger & Amy would be suitable to live with other dogs, or be a spoilt "only children". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Amy & Ginger were both scared of and showed no interest in cats & pocket pets.
Both girls have shown no signs of separation anxiety as long as they're together and neither have food aggression towards humans or each other.
Amy & Ginger's adoption fee is $1200 and includes their desexing & lifetime registration. They are also regularly treated for flea and worms and are up to date with thier vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
