About Bonnie
Bonnie requires the following in her new home:
- Bonnie is best as an only dog.
- An active lifestyle.
- A home with no children.
- Owners who can set boundaries and continue her training.
- Her people home often.
- Must have a fenced yard for her to play and sniff in.
- Toys and enrichment activities.
Bonnie doesn't like sharing her favourite toys and food with other dogs so she is best as an only dog.
Bonnie may only weigh 6kgs but she has the personality and energy levels of a much bigger dog. She will be looking for an active and interesting lifestyle with a few cuddles, she is not interested in being a lap dog.
Bonnie has a friendly, happy nature, she is intelligent, very inquisitive and spirited. Bonnie is responding well to basic training (including, crate training, waiting to be released to eat her food, sitting and leash walking), she now understands that tables and benches are not for her. Bonnie thinks she is more of a human than a dog.
Bonnie will be best in a home with no children, and as an only dog with adults that are home more often than not, who can give her a good amount of exercise and mental activities. Bonnie would not be suited to dog parks or other off lead dog spaces. It would be good to continue to have clear boundaries in the home to help her remember she is a dog and not a human, that she needs to listen to her people and follow their rules which will promote good house manners. Bonnie might be able to live with another desexed confident male dog that is bigger than her, but personalities will come into play.
Bonnie’s toileting is improving but moving to a new home may set her back a little, she will need understanding people that will give her regular access to outside so she remembers that is the appropriate place to go.
Bonnie doesn’t bark much with door knocks, visitors or cars but her play is very enthusiastic and becomes quite noisy. She loves care trips and spending time with her people.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
