Koby has won over the staff here at the shelter by being such a friendly, sweet old man who loves 'chatting' with his human friends and smiling for the camera.

Koby was surrendered to the shelter by his previous owners, who unfortunately could no longer look after him. This means that he is looking for a retirement home where he can spend his golden years snoozing in the sun and receiving endless smooches.

Koby is an older gentleman seeking a quiet, calm home with adopters who can match his laid-back approach to life. This means that he would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children and older (12+).

Koby is open to living with another doggy sibling but would prefer a furry friend who is nice and calm and won't stress him out. If you have a dog at home you can bring them along to do a meet and greet with Koby here in the shelter.

As a senior dog, Koby does have some age-related health issues that may worsen over time. He needs adopters who are willing to care for him and help him enjoy a healthy and happy retirement for as many years as possible. Koby also needs his adopters to help him with a weight-loss plan as he is a bit overweight at the moment.

Koby will need a new home that has suitable fencing as he is known for being a little Houdini who can be opportunistic with escaping! Don't underestimate his sneakiness and speed even at 12 years old!
