About Texas
Texas Lexie Lou
Sweet old gal Texas Lexie Lou is looking for her retirement home. She’s a cocker spaniel. She has spent her whole 12 yrs of life in a puppy mill just churning out litter after litter.
When she arrived at the rescue she desperately needed medical help. An eye removal, and the other eye needed a lift. Both done. She also had a hard mammory lump which was removed and tested. It was benign.
So now she is ready for her forever home. All she wants is to love you and be loved in return. She sleeps happily on a bed next to you, happy to snooze all day while you’re at work and will eat anything you put in front of her. She’s fine with other dogs but has a lot more respect for dogs larger than herself. Probably from being a breeding mum for over a decade.
Completely fine and sweet towards children of all ages.
Not tested with cats.
Great on lead and off. Will follow you everywhere and has great recall.
Non reactive to dogs approaching. Happy to sniff and move on.
Great in the car.
Needs ongoing meds for her one good eye.
Not desexed but has certificate from vet that she’s too old to good through the operation.
Will make someone, a couple or a family extremely happy.
Medical notes
Texas requires ongoing medication for her remaining good eye.
Texas is not desexed but has a certificate from the vet that she’s too old to good through the operation.
Adoption details
**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
Due to an anticipated high volume of applications the adoption process is outlined below:
1. You must complete our Adoption Application Form by following the link to our website: https://www.all4pawsdogrescue.com.au/forms.html NOT THE PET RESCUE ENQUIRY BUTTON
2. Include as much information as possible and it is never a case of "first in best dressed" when we are choosing the most appropriate new home. Matching an animal with a family is based on lifestyle, family members, attitudes to pet ownership and the personality of the pet.
3. Due to the number of applications we receive all correspondence is through email and if your application is short listed we will either call you to discuss it further and possibly invite you to a meet and greet.
