About Roger
Hi! I'm Roger and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR ROGER
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/Njgm4bpELZCt7NuN8
NOTE: You are unable to meet Roger until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Roger in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people, so I'm super happy getting all your love and attention. Belly rubs & snuggles are the best.
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• It is not known if I have lived with children before, I can be a bit bouncy so recommend a family with no little children or with children who are confident around dogs as I might accidently knock a small child over. Older children who will be involved in my training should be fine
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation. I LOVE my toys especially the noisy ones
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• I've met some cats & rabbits at the shelter and while I didn't react negatively to them, there is no guarantee that I won't chase them or bark at them when in a home.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
My best features:
• Very playful
• Highly food motivated which will be very useful when training me
• Wiggle butt
Where I need to improve / Training required
• Before coming to the shelter, I had lived a very secluded life. I have had not former training and am learning to walk on a lead
Medical notes
A mass located on the left hand side of the perineum was surgically removed on 20/11/24. Pathology results indicate Cutaneous Histiocytoma (Benign Lesion).
