When it comes to walks, Monty can be a bit strong on lead if he finds something he wants to investigate, other times he will walk lazily by your side. He’s making great strides with training, especially with the help of a Halti-type control. With a little patience and some tasty treats, he’s sure to become the perfect gentleman on his walks. He will need guidance around other dogs, but don’t let that deter you—Monty is a smart boy who is eager to learn!

While Monty adores people, he needs a home without small animals, though he may do well with another large breed dog, but preferably he will be the only dog so he can soak up all the love from his favourite people. He’s looking for a rural or semi-rural property with secure fencing, where he can feel safe and relaxed away from heavy foot traffic.

It’s important to note that Monty has hip dysplasia,which means he doesn’t require much exercise which Monty isn’t sad about. Instead, he prefers lounging around the house, soaking up love and attention. If you’re someone who enjoys cozy evenings in, Monty is ready to be your cuddle buddy for life.
