About Murray
Murray is a beautiful-natured Boxer with the perfect balance of affection, relaxation, and playful energy. He has been raised in a family environment with two young children (aged 6 and 4) and another dog—a small but confident Jack Russell. Despite the Jack Russell being the boss, Murray remains gentle, submissive, and shows absolutely no signs of aggression. His temperament is so easygoing that his owners report he allows anyone to take a bone right out of his mouth, and he has never growled or shown any dominance.
Personality: Murray loves to play but also enjoys relaxing and lounging around. He’s happiest when running through the bush alongside a mountain bike, following along with enthusiasm. He’s perfect for a family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities and wants a friendly, loyal companion.
Training & Behaviour: Murray is well-behaved on a lead, rarely pulling except when he gets excited near other dogs, cats, or when he needs a quick break. He’s strong but walks confidently with young children as long as there is supervision. He’s also accustomed to running beside a bicycle on a lead. Off-lead, he responds well to recall and comes back when called, making him a great adventure buddy.
Health: Murray is in good health overall, with a minor case of gingival hyperplasia, which is common in Boxers. He had a few small front teeth removed earlier this year due to interference, but his vet is happy with the results, and he eats and plays without any issues.
Special Note: Murray is currently part of our Assisted Rehoming Program and remains with his current family while we search for his new forever home. His family is moving overseas in April 2025 and is planning ahead to ensure Murray finds the perfect match.
If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and adventurous companion, Murray could be the perfect fit for you!-
