About Billy
Billy is the kind of cat who just wants to be your buddy.
At 7 years old, he's a seasoned lover of life. Being affectionate, playful, and always up for cuddles. Billy is a social butterfly who enjoys being around people and has a warm, gentle nature that makes him an ideal companion.
Billy is a calm and friendly boy who absolutely loves attention. He'll nuzzle you for pats and happily curl up in your lap for a good nap. He has a sweet and easy-going disposition that will quickly win you over. Whether you're watching TV, reading a book, or working from home, Billy is happy to keep you company.
Billy is not just about the cuddles, he also enjoys playtime, especially with his favorite toys, and has been known to do a little happy dance when he's in a playful mood. He's also content just lounging by the window, watching the world go by.
Billy would do well in almost any home. He's great with adults, older children, and other pets, so he could easily fit into a multi-pet household. His social nature means he loves attention, but he also respects his quiet time when he wants to relax.
To book a meet and greet with Billy please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
