About Jacko
Jacko's would like his new home to have:
- Another playful energetic desexed dog or his new family home often.
- An active lifestyle where he will get included in family adventures.
- To be allowed inside when his family is home and to sleep inside of a night.
- To go for regular walks.
- To have his physical and mental needs meet, he would love to participate in doggy sports.
- To live in a home with no small pets, including cats.
Jacko is looking for a human best friend to hang out with. His favourite things are to be with you. When you sit down he would like to be on your lap if possible but otherwise he will be happy to be next to you and patted. He'll sometimes jump up on the adults gently to get a cuddle if he hasn't had a pat for a while. Jacko also loves to play with you and his dog foster brothers. Tug of war and chasey are his favourites. He's not too interested in balls so far.
He's super friendly and will confidently meet anyone who comes to the house or out on a walk...he might try to get a pat off from strangers too. He walks well on the lead and is toilet trained. He's very smart but not food motivated and would love for you to spend time training him. He knows how to wait for his food, sit (when he feels like it) and his recall is good in the yard and around the house. He's a kelpie, so interested in the world, and it will take training and a strong bond with his owner before he can be off lead in a park. He loves the car and sniffing the wind and will need to live with an energetic family or a playful dog to wear him out.
Even though being with people is his favourite thing, he is happy to be left in the yard with a goat horn or other play toys and isn't destructive. He gets along well with other dogs and would be fine with young children as he doesn't jump up and is respectful of his place in the house. He would like to live in a house where he is let inside when his owners are home and can sleep inside. He is more suited to a house without cats or other small pets.
Jacko has a whole lot of love to give!

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
