About Rocco
Are you looking to add the most amazing boy into your life, well look no further than Rocco.
Rocco has had a hard start to life, so he is very timid and a little shy at first. But once he knows he is safe and can trust you, he becomes the most lovable companion one could ask for.
Rocco came to us with separation anxiety, which we quickly overcame with walks prior to us leaving the house and the support of his foster siblings (two dogs). For this reason, we are looking for someone that already has another dog that would love a little brother, and his new family needs to be able to exercise him daily.
Rocco is currently being walked twice a day and if leaving the house for an extend period, he needs to be walked just prior to you leaving. Since we started this routine, Rocco has experienced no crying or stress when we leave the home.
Rocco has fast become best friends with his 2 foster siblings, he loves to wrestle, play chase and snuggle up next to them. He likes to follow their lead and copy what they are doing. Rocco may love his foster siblings, but it doesn't compare to the love he has for humans. Rocco is obsessed with his foster mum and has been very social while in care and adores everyone he meets.
Rocco can get a little barky with other dogs he comes across (not at all in an aggressive way), with some delicious treats we have seen a fast improvement in the short time we have been doing training. He is food driven, so much easier to train.
Rocco's new family needs to be ready and willing to continue this training with Rocco. Though his barks aren't aggressive, we have seen some dogs react to being barked at and the training is hugely important to avoid any incidents in the future.
Rocco is fully toilet trained and doggy door friendly. He loves playing with toys and has fast become food obsessed. Rocco is so gentle when he takes the food/treat from your hand, it's so unbelievably cute. He loves a quick cuddle before bed but once he has had enough, he jumps off the bed into his own plush bed and sleeps there all night. Once he knows you’re awake Rocco again likes to start the day with a morning cuddle back in your bed. Rocco's favorite nap place is on a bed on top of a pillow (there is a picture in his profile).
Rocco is so athletic, he is so fast and just full of energy. He needs and deserves someone that will take him on adventures and prioritize his walks every day.
Rocco is everything you could want in a dog family member, all rolled into one. He is playful, entertaining, sweet, gentle, mischievous, the list goes on. Rocco is looking for a super special family that is going to give him all the love and attention and provide him with a safe and happy place to live out all his doggy years to come.
Any meet & greets will need to include your dog.

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
