About Clark
Hi! I’m Clark and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR CLARK
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/tUxk5FoGmf8zofat8
NOTE: You are unable to meet Clark until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Clark in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm as boisterous dogs scare me so I will require lots of socialisation with positive experiences with other dogs.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I’m always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• I enjoy the company of other dogs my own size but am a bit scared of bigger dogs
• I am shy at first so I need a family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• A doggie companion is a MUSTin my new home, I am very under socialised and can be very timid and frightened, another dog will help show me the ropes and help me become a confident happy pup.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence
• Being a young puppy I will adapt & learn easily, how I mature will only be a reflection of you & my upbringing
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young boisterous children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
My best features:
• Wiggle butt
• Gentle & placid
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans once I know you
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Social butterfly
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I am extremely timid in new situations such as entering a building/home. I MUST have a family who'll allow me inside so I can see it isn't a scary place and to allow my confidence to grow.
• As I have not been allowed inside before I am not housetrained yet
