About Doug
Doug is a calm and smoochy pup who just wants to please. He is a delight to have around. He has grown up in suburbia around kids, cats and dogs. He enjoys trips to his carer's family farm where he is just eager to be with the family and be a good boy.
He has been trained to understand jumping up isn't ok. He knows to sit for a pat, and it's impossible to resist showering him in love when he is plonked at your feet, with his smoochy face looking up politely waiting for attention. He responds to lay down, look at me, and waits for the ok to eat and for permission to leave the front door.
Spending Christmas in care, everyone he met at his foster carers home described him as 'the perfect pup'.
He is looking for a home where he truly is a part of the family and is allowed inside and out as he pleases. He is toilet trained. He is crate trained, but also is fine roaming his carers home at night if we accidentally forget to put him in the crate.
He is besties with his carers large dog and foster friend Beth. He has had lots of positive socialisation with his carers cats, farm animals, car trips and other dogs over the holiday break.
He will do best with another dog friend to do life with and show him the ropes.
He is a water-loving boy who delights in splashing around and swimming in water. Nothing makes him happier than being included in family activities, whether it’s enjoying a sunny afternoon outdoors or snuggling up on the couch during movie nights.
Doug is a gentle soul and hates being in trouble. He really just wants to please.
If you have a calm, loving home, already have a dog and are ready to meet his needs and provide ongoing training for this lovable boy, we would love to hear from you.

In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
