About Mushi
We know that there are a lot of Frenchies surrendered, but Mushi is very special, in our eyes!
Come on Frenchie Lovers! Do yourself a favour and look at this beautiful Frenchie girl!!!
Mushi is a female pure bred French Bulldog (a Frenchie). Born 27th May, 2017, so she is 8.5 years old. She is happy being the ONLY dog in the family as she love all the attention. She has a great temperament and is happy being inside in this cold weather and will happily snuggle up on the lounge with you.
We are looking for someone who has had experience with this breed, loves the Frenchie and understands their needs. Mushi is better off being the only dog in the household, she much prefers human company to doggy pals and has a favourite toy.
Anyone who has owned a Frenchie knows that the breed can be susceptible to various health problems, sporting a brachycephalic face and skin wrinkles. They usually bark only when excited, but it does snort and snore, which is part of its appeal.
Mushi must have 24 hour access inside the home, she does spend a lot of the day inside on her day bed and seems happy enough snoozing the hours away. She likes to know that her family is close by, and is not suited to being left alone 8 hours a day while her owner goes off to work.
Mushi is suitable in a home with one or two adults only, no children or cats!
Like most Frenchies, Mushi is even-tempered, a house dog, and thrives on attention. She needs a 10 minute walk twice a day - she walks quite quickly, but does like to stop and have a good sniff!! Unfriendly to other dogs so is better off being kept away from them as much as possible. She only needs a small yard to walk around in, but must have good, secure fencing and gates (preferably colourbond). Her short coat, sheds twice a year, but is easy to manage and bathing when required; they can get smelly, especially if they get wet in the rain. Facial wrinkles should be cleaned regularly.
Mushi is fully vaccinated (as at 29.10.2025) and wormed, Bravecto Tick & Flea Treatment given when due.
We know that the French Bulldog is one of the most popular breeds to own but we do not want any applicants who just want a Frenchie because they are "popular". We will be screening prospective new owner thoroughly and will be looking for the most suitable home.
MUSHI IS NOW READY FOR ADOPTION AND IS SO LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING TO HER NEW HOME WHERE SHE IS THE ONLY DOG.
Medical notes
Not currently on any medication.

.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
