About Marcia
Meet Marcia! Also known as Marshmallow or Marshy Marsh.
Marcia is a ray of sunshine! She is bright, bubbly and once settled FULL of personality. Her favourite place is right next to you, if that’s going in the car, snoozing on the couch or cooking in the kitchen, she wants to be your right-hand pooch.
Not too much around the house fazes Marica. TV’s, Showers, hoses,
floorboards don't seem to worry her in the slightest, she will quite happily lay in the middle of your path while you vacuum or mow the lawn around her.
Marcia likes when her humans are home and prefers not to be left alone for long periods of time.
Two walks a day would be a breeze for Marcia, as well as plenty of play time. Her favourite games include, chasey (people or greyhound, doesn't matter), digging in the sandpit, water fights (in the shower or with the hose/sprinkler or at the beach) and she has just recently discovered the pure joy of a ball and fetch. She is also quite happy to play by herself, providing that she has enough toys. Marcia is known for ending up with quite the collection of treasures in her bed at the end of the day.
Marcia’s dream home would include:
- Someone who is home a lot, works from home or part time.
- An easy-going but playful greyhound companion (but this wouldn't be necessary if her family were home to keep her company)
- A backyard for zoomies and playing in the sprinkler
- An active family who can meet her exercise, enrichment and training needs
- A supportive family who can help expose her to different dog breeds as she hasn't met many just yet
Marica is a very sweet and intelligent girl who may take a little time to settle into new home, but once settled she will show you an abundance of love and personality.

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:

If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid before the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support!
