About Brandt
Brandt is a gentle soul who could not have a sweeter, softer personality. He loves to be around people he knows and is a little shy with those who are new but it doesn't take him long to make friends.
He gets on well with other dogs and has grown up around cats and knows its a good idea to give them space and respect.
Brandt walks well on lead and sits every time you come to a stop. He is a little cautious around things and environments he doesn't know but will look to his person to let him know it's ok to be brave and explore.
He isn't a fan of the car but we are working on that by pairing it with good things and we think he'll see how much fun it can lead to in no time.
Brandt would do really well with another dog who he can watch and learn from - his first time living inside a house will be an adjustment for him with all the strange noises and items but he is very resilient and within a few days he will be living his best life.
Brandt best home would be with a person/family who respect his need to take things slowly at first and will be his advocate when out and about until his confidence grows.
Brandt is an absolute ripper and is very ready to find his BFF.

Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc.
